Many Christmas Tree farms will have pre-cut trees available for you to pick up. Depending on the type of farm you go to, you may not be able to cut your own tree. Some tree farms may also be closed for the year, as they are allowing their trees to grow taller.

Each tree farm we list will allow you to quickly see where they are located as well as their contact information. It’s important for you to contact that farm before heading out to them, as some farms will sell out of Christmas trees early.

Simply find the county nearest you to see if there are any Christmas Tree farms available. Not all counties will have a u-cut farm or a u-pick farm.

Keep in mind that many farms will offer multiple different types of Christmas trees such as, Fraser Fir, Douglas Fir, Noble Fir, White Pine, etc.

If you find a tree farm you want to visit, be sure to contact them before heading out. We found it very hard to keep up to date on each farm’s seasons and hours. Many Christmas tree farms will be open in November and close sometime in December. Their closing dates will depend on if/when they sell out of trees.

Seasonal hours vary from farm to farm and from state to state.

There are also many farms that may not be open this year because they don’t have trees available, they are allowing their trees to grow or they are taking the year off. In that case you can always find another farm or a Christmas tree stand near your home.

If you cannot find a u-cut Christmas Tree farm in your county, be sure to check other county locations nearby. Some tree farms are usually away from heavily populated areas and located in country settings.

Depending on your state, you may have to travel a long distance to get to a farm that offers what you are looking for.

Things To Consider When Looking For A U-Cut Christmas Tree Farm In Maine

Some Christmas tree farms near you may not have the style of tree you are looking for. Other farms may also offer other Christmas decorations such as wreathes or offer warm drinks and food.

A farm that is further away may also offer more activities, such as:

  • Food trucks or food for purchase
  • Has a small farmers market with pre-picked fruits and vegetables
  • Sells their own jams, jellies, mixes, etc
  • Has baked goods like, breads, cookies, pastries, etc

Don’t limit yourself to just a farm that is closest to your location. Get out and explore what other Christmas tree farms are within your state.

If you find a Christmas tree farm that interests you, be sure to check out their Facebook page or other social media pages. Most farms in Maine keep their social media profiles up to date on when they are open and when their season is closed or if they are out of a specific tree.

If the farm you are interested in has not updated their social media pages in over a year, it is safe to say they are either closed for good or are giving their trees a rest.

Each farm we list will offer a map to allow you to determine what your drive time to that farm will be. We are not able to show their business hours because most farms have very different open and closed seasons.
