Poverty Hollow Farm

Poverty Hollow Farm is located in Morning View KY. Our farm began as a tobacco and cattle farm just over 70 years ago. Since our beginning we have developed our farm to offer additional product to meet our local community’s needs.

We are a diversified family farm, producing Black Angus cattle, private label beef, field corn, hay, over 100 varieties of pumpkins, squash and gourds, honey and several types of fruits and vegetables.

By September our farm opens for visitors to come and tour our farm. We offer hayrides, a barrel train and other educational activities for children as well as crafts with Kenton County 4-H staff and volunteers.

Weather permitting, we will include other farming activities/demonstrations. All activities are free, but several items will be for sale, such as homemade jams, honey, Poverty Hollow Angus beef and pumpkins.

We will offer delicious food for sale all day long, featuring sweet treats made with our own fruit and pumpkin, our own hamburgers and smoked brisket. Our message is that farming is engaging, rewarding and vital to Kenton County.
