Blueberry Hill by the Appalachian Trail

Blueberry Hill by the AT sits at an elevation of 2,000 feet and is surrounded by miles of forest.

The farm’s previous owners, Roy and Marilyn Wiley, bought the property in 1983.

Roy was primarily interested in the grass airstrip, as he was an avid pilot who flew a restored Piper Clipper.

While it is now decommissioned, you can still see the landing strip and blue aircraft hanger near the patches.

The property was already established as a blueberry farm before the Wileys built their airstrip.

The Wileys planted many more bushes of assorted varieties over the next twenty years, as well as vegetable gardens and raspberry patches.
