Heritage Farms

Organized at White River, Michigan (Present day Hesperia, Michigan) Henry Becker, Pro 1st Sergt.

In the 5th Michigan Vol. Cavalry, lost his left leg in the Battle of Gettysburg.

His financial compensation was an 80 acre parcel of land where the current homestead, farm land, orchard, and market are located.

Henry would later marry Isabelle on Nov. 14, 1865 and have four children.

In the late 1960’s Dave and Mary Zeerip started a roadside Market stand selling produce and it has grown to what it is today.

Ever since the post Civil War era the 80 acre parcel has stayed in the family over the years and the current Farm Market is at the epicenter of the original parceled land.
