Formerly known as Kings, Brigitte and Matt Hendershot reopened this blueberry farm in 2013. It had been closed and dormant since 1988.
Even though it required many hours of labor to restore each bush, clear all the rows, trim back the roads, dig a new pond, and so much more, it has been so rewarding watching the progress every year as we continue to make more improvements.
Come visit Backwoods Blueberries in Hemlock to pick luscious blueberries that store well in the freezer for up to a year or more.
We will be open from Mid-July to Mid-August.
In addition to blueberries, you can purchase ice cream made locally by Great Lakes Ice Cream, a variety of cookies, jams, maple syrup, local honey from the blueberry blossoms, blueberry pies, blueberry muffins, and blueberry donuts.
