The family has been farming this spot for 6 generations, but we started changing things up in 1981.
We put some wood crates in our front lawn and called it a roadstand.
When someone would stop by we would run out and pick their order of corn for them on the spot.
In 1984 we started bringing our produce to the City to sell through Greenmarket.
This was the beginning of us becoming a direct market farm.
Now we sell at 5 different locations in NYC on 5 days of the week.
