We are Chris and Kylie Demases, owners of Pecan Creek Strawberry Farm. While we are somewhat new to the area, we are not new to farming.
Chris Demases is a fourth generation farmer and grew up just down the highway in Boyd, Tx.
His parents own a 70+ acre produce farm, Demases Farm, in Boyd, TX.
Chris’ great grand father came from Greece and began farming in Arlington, TX and the family then moved to Boyd in the 1980s.
Years and years of tradition and work ethic have been passed down to him. From the time Chris could walk, he was in the fields working.
After college, Chris began working full time on the produce farm where he, helped start up the retail stand on site, and was also the forefront of getting into the DFW farmers market scene.
While working along side his father, mother, and brother, Chris decided to try something new; grow strawberries.
After doing hours of research and attending conferences, Chris began growing strawberries in 2015.
He saw the demand as well as the desire of the customers to not only buy fresh strawberries, but pick them too.
That’s when the decision was made to branch away from his family’s business, and start on his new independent adventure, Pecan Creek Strawberry Farm.

No matter where you go to pick your fruits and vegetables, u-pick farms will all have different open times and seasonal times based on many different factors.
